New Moon Slumber Party

I went to see New Moon at midnight last Thursday (along with 3,000 other teeny boppers in the theater when it was released) and Lorelai stayed with her Meemi and Pa! I wish I had a picture of my I HEART Vampires t-shirt... it was a big hit too! LOL!

25-23

We went to our alma mater this weekend to see the Rebels beat LSU! We had a fantastic time watching the game in The Grove! After the game we had an amazing dinner with Keith, Emit, Brian, Matt, and Danny at Old Venice (yay for old friend Matt S. being the best ever and giving us a table right when we walked up), and then a quick visit to Downtown Grill to see old friends!

Merry Christmas... Ole Miss Style

We went through the HoHo line FIVE times. I took Lorelai to see the Ole Miss Santa in the Union, and she LOVED him. I spent most of the game walking back and forth between our tent and HoHo. We sat on the ground for a long time just watching him.

Ole Miss is a magical place little girl, a magical magical place. Even Santa is a Rebel fan.

Kennedy and Lorelai

Lorelai loved meeting Kennedy... until this weekend she only knew her from the blog-o-sphere! Natalie, it was great to see you!

Jason, Lisa, Lorelai, Rusty and Me

It was so great to introduce Lorelai to Jason and Lisa! Last time we saw them was at their wedding and I was about 7 months pregnant. Oh, how I wish we were all back living in Oxford together again!

Today in Oxford

If you look closely you can see the Col. Reb on the backside of Lorelai's Ole Miss dress!! We had a fantastic time eating Bottle Tree with Jason and Lisa then strolling around the Square! We hit Abner's before we left for lunch with Keith... I'm convinced that I gained 10 pounds eating this weekend!

Time Out Funnies

Lorelai is getting her first tastes of "Time Out" and they don't phase her a bit. Last night she did a one minute stint in the time out chair, and when Rusty brought her back in the living room she proudly announced "White, I back! Mama, I back!" (The "White" is for Snow White which was playing on the TV). We laughed until tears ran down our cheeks... she's a funny little charmer and she knows it!

A few weeks ago she was sent to time out for kicking Seuss, pretty much just like a soccer ball. And, when I was telling her grandparents about it the next morning she proudly announced "Kicked Seuss" (while reenacting the leg swing) and then quickly followed by "Sorry Seu".

A Tradition Lost

We'll be in The Grove this weekend, but "From Dixie with Love" will not. I'm sad. Rusty and I danced to this at our wedding, I always tear up a bit when it's played in The Grove and now it's gone. I want Lorelai to go to Ole Miss when she grows up, but at this rate Ole Miss will be gone too and The University will be far from the great memories we have of it.

Thanks to our Grandpas (and all other military) for their service, because of them our little girl can be whatever she wants to when she grows up.

2 Year Stats

Lorelai visited the pediatrician this morning for her two year-old well baby visit! I'm pleased to report that our little super model is in the 97th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight. She's a whopping 36.5 inches tall and weighs 27 pounds! She's right on track with everything, sang her ABCs for the doctor and also recited her Christmas wish list after we told her that Dr. Donnelly is good friends with HoHo (Lorelai's name for Santa)!

Oh, and we also got the H1N1 flumist vaccine for her. Vaccines always make me a bit nervous, but hopefully it will keep her safe this flu season.
