Here is a picture of my dining room walls... it's still a work in progress (finished pictures coming soon)!
I have been painting like an addict... I love how it looks!

All tuckered out...

I think this is how most of us feel after long holiday weekends ;)

Tim the Tool Man Taylor & Al

We love working on our house and doing HGTV/TLC inspired projects, but most of the time it's just not fun to do by ourselves... it was great to have helping hands here this weekend!!

Thanksgiving '08

Derek and Angie just left. We are super sad to see them go, and for the first time since Sept. '07 we don't know when we'll see them again. In Sept. '07 they came for Lorelai's baby shower and we knew that we'd see them again in a few short months for Thanksgiving... then we were looking forward to Angie's wedding shower in April, and the wedding in June, and Derek's business trip in Sept. and back again for this Thanksgiving... we have been so lucky to see so much of them during Lorelai's first year... it's so sad that we won't see them again in the very near future. We had an amazing weekend filled with turkey, the annual family photo, a fabulous trip to Nashville for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, dinner at Opryland, working on house projects that are too cumbersome to do alone, and just catching up... we miss y'all already :(
**More pictures from this great long weekend are coming soon!

Visiting Santa...

Lorelai got a little nervous. We weren't planning on seeing Santa, but he was there... so we gave it a whirl. We'll be seeing him at least one more time before Christmas '08, so stay tuned for the pictures!!

Quote of the Day

"He was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another obscure village, where He worked in a carpenter shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He was an itinerant preacher. He never had a family or owned a home. He never set foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never wrote a book, or held an office. He did none of the things that usually accompany greatness. While He was still a young man, the tide of popular opinion turned against Him. His friends deserted Him. He was turned over to His enemies, and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While He was dying, His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had- His coat. When he was dead, He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave. Two thousand years have come and gone, and today He is the central figure for much of the human race. All the armies that ever marched and all the navies that ever sailed and all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon this earth as powerfully as this 'One Solitary Life'." ~ Radio City Christmas Spectacular
