We went to Finch's lake house at Paris Landing this weekend and hopped across the border into Murray, Kentucky for lunch. Making the grand total of Lorelai's states visited FOURTEEN! (TN, MS, MI, IN, OH, FL, AL, MO, KS, NC, PA, NJ, NY, KY)

Thanks to Elizabeth inspiring me to do this!! I love it but getting my all-girl girl to stick her hand in wet mushy cement was almost the death of me. I shamelessly bribed her and even then it sortof back fired as she pulled her hand out and shook it ... splattering little cement blobs all over the kitchen... but it came out great :) She did the mixing and stirring of the cement with my help and even did the placement of the glass pieces too!

Hearts to the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association for graciously allowing me to be a part of their annual Law Day Luncheon. I was invited by Jackson City Judge Blake Anderson to be his guest at their annual Law Day Luncheon. There were several awards given. I was completely surprised that I, too, was a recipient of one of the awards, the "Liberty Bell Award," one that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I might miss some names, but I have to offer hearts to Caroline Ballentine, (who, I was told, made the nomination), Jody Pickens who presented the plaque, Judge Anderson and Daryl Hubbard, who helped keep it a secret. Hearts to all the lawyers, judges, paralegals and support staff who were there and who work hard every day to serve the people. I know that with God, all things are possible, and I pray that I will continue to do his will.

Happy Belated Birthday to Our House and Song of the Day

I wonder if one day Lorelai will look at our house and think this way.... it's where she took her first steps, heck it's where I took some of my first steps too. I can remember when we were shopping for houses and what I loved most about it. I was pregnant and could just picture giving my little baby a bath in the kitchen sink; it's hard to believe that she doesn't fit in there anymore. Happy Belated 3rd Birthday to our home!
