New Chandelier

I got this at a consignment sale for $15! What a deal, it looks amazing in my master bathroom hallway!

Lorelai had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb!

A local photographer posted on FB that they would have a real live lamb on set for their spring portraits, as soon as I told Lorelai she was dying to go.  It was so fun for her, even though this little lamb was more like from Silence of the Lambs and was too buck wild to hold or pet... she still loved every second of this!

Lorelai's Lemonade Stand

Um, these had to be photo shopped because my little entreprenuer's mother spelled lemonade wrong. Ha?

I did however make her little dress this morning so maybe I'll give myself a pass for the day. And, in my defense on the poster... I made it at work today, and no less than 5 other attorneys all saw it and didn't recognize that it was spelled wrong either :/

In case you were wondering...

It's been less than a week since CC was saved, and Lorelai has tried to hug the stuffing out of her! CC doesn't seem to mind, isn't having accidents in the house, and has been a huge blessing to our family. It's like she knew she would have been a goner without us, and she is so grateful to be here. I wonder if she knows how grateful we are to have her? L is doing her best to show her how loved she is!! She is currently snoring away in our bed, yay!

Here she is on death row, and again just 24 short hours after being sprung from the pound!!! Yay! I've become slightly obsessed reading other rescue stories, and probably need to quit reading before I go save another ;)

St. Patricks Day

We haven't decided for sure on a name, but this is one loved dog.  Lorelai is thrilled and SO proud of her new puppy!

A Dogs Day

This morning she was 5R, fifth kennel on the right, at the high-kill animal shelter... euthanasia is typically performed twice weekly at this pound. Tonight she is sleeping soundly next to Lorelai, who as already lovingly dubbed her as her best friend!

We're thinking of naming her CC, (it's not 100% set in stone yet though), because you know how they say people look like their dogs? ... Well, she totally looks like she is wearing eye make-up and is a bit awkward... she's my doggle-ganger!!!

I must have a million pictures just like this...

I just can't ever resist those little hands folded under her sweet face.

Zen Bathroom

My new Yankee Candle Sandcastles scents are taking my Behr Ocean Air paint over the top. I just need to clean up and touch up the giant blue streaks on the ceiling but my bathroom is feeling very zen anyway, and I couldn't need the calming effects more if they came in a pill so I'm pretty happy and proud of myself for completing this project all by myself! Go me!

Carnival Conquest

These are the last of the pictures from our 7 night cruise on Carnival Conquest. We took the City of New Orleans train from Memphis and spent one night in The French Quarter before we set sail. It was sortof a much-needed-vacation, so we owned it and had these awesome-trashy-airbrushed-t-shirts made, ha. I tried to update pictures along the way, because Lorelai stayed home with my parents (thank you Meme and Grandpa) and I knew she was checking the blog daily. I didn't put captions with the pictures, so I'll go back and do that now... stay tuned!


This was the last day of the cruise, the entire vacation flew by so fast. Next time I won't wait until the last day of an all-you-can-eat-vacation to take a bikini picture... I've lost a ton of weight since this time last year though, so even though it was the last day.. I've come pretty far and decided to post
these anyway. Also, I bought a detox plan, had a few pep talks and worked-out with a personal trainer while on the ship so next time I cruise I should be a bit leaner, even if it is the last day.















Now that I've discussed the detox, we can ignore it and the Eat Clean Diet so we can focus on these beautiful scones and clotted cream. The ship had afternoon tea on the "sea" days... I was the youngest person, by at least 25 years, at tea time... and I loved every second of it anyway.












Sporting our awesome airbrush shirts. And, by awesome I mean trash-trastic. We wore these to get on the ship because I wanted to buy the funny disembarkation picture, but it wasn't my best angle so we snapped these on the last day just before we got dressed for dinner.
