My parents met us in Little Rock on our drive home and we went to The Clinton Library, it was awesome! The restaurant "Forty-Two" was insane and we loved it, apparently Clinton goes to the museum once a month and I was super bummed that we didn't get to see him. I feel like this year has been a big year for back yard travels (ie Dollywood) and there is so much local fun and flavor to be had just a hop, skip, and a jump away!
When we walked into American Girl Lorelai let out an audible gasp and exclaimed "it's just like the catalog."
I read on another blog that before you become a mother you pray for A child, but after that child arrives you realize that you were praying for THE child you received. I think that is so true, Lorelai and I were made for each other. We love the same things, we were cut from the same cloth! Having a daughter is fun, having Lorelai is perfect!
We spent 3 hours at American Girl and left with the happiest girl in all of America. Notice, there was a costume change from McKenna to Saige. Lorelai wanted her picture made in each outfit, so we ducked into the bathroom and made it happen for her! The Dallas store didn't have a photo studio, but I'm going to try to make the magazine covers for her on my own, if anyone out there reading this blog has a template send it my way!
Without a doubt, the hi-light of spring break for Lorelai was going to the American Girl doll store! Staying in a hotel with matching Josefina jammies ranked a really high second!
For Lorelai's first ever Spring Break we traveled to Dallas and Little Rock! Stopping along the way to reunite with old friends, see a wedding, shop at American Girl, and my parents met up with us so we could all tour The Clinton Library together! Pictures coming soon.. but here is one to tide you over!
I'm leaning toward more 'natural' cleaning supplies, food, products etc. In this venture I am dabbling in essential oils. Here is an oil blend from doTerra to aid in digestion! It's actually hard to drink since it is so strong, and has to be diluted in water and used in a glass container because it can break down plastics. Today is only my second day, and at only two to four drops per day this is going to be a long process!
