Home Again

We had a wonderful long weekend in Ohio with Derek and Angie, and are very greatful for their hospitality and careful planning for a fun filled, jam-packed weekend!

Lorelai was a great traveler, but was very happy to get home to Seuss. This is how Seuss rode home when we picked her up this afternoon!

***We also squeezed in a visit with Ashley in Nashville and had a great time seeing her today too! I wish I had brought my camera and taken a picture of her adorable class!

Ohio State Reformatory

http://www.mrps.org/ We stoped by the Ohio State Reformatory on Sunday afternoon and ended up getting detained my the Mansfield Police when we went down a street that we weren't supposed to...oops. This is where Shawshank Redemption was filmed. NEAT! Oh yeah, and it started to snow that afternoon too!

Jr. Milk Carrier

Lorelai didn't take long to find the toys at my grandparents house... I had already taken the picture of her with this Jr. Milk Carrier then when we were flipping through an old photo album we saw this picture of my cousin playing with this same toy when he was a little boy... so fun!

Cahill Bench

On Sunday we ate at Olive Garden and me, Derek, and my Grandpa each took olives from the salad bowl... Lorelai loves olives too so we shared with her... she gobbled them right up so we had to request extra olives. If my dad would have been there he would have been eating olives too... it must be genetic.

Easter Bunny Take 1

The Easter Bunny was at the carrousel park, and we attempted to see him. Lorelai didn't want to get her picture made by herself so I went with her.

We celebrated Derek's Birthday Dinner on Saturday night at Iron Chef Michael Symon's restaurant Lolita in downtown Cleveland. The food was fabulous and the company was even better!

Lorelai's first train ride was on Saturday! We rode from Peninsula to Akron.

Ohio Chuck E. Cheese

We are huge Chuck E. Cheese fans, and the Ohio Chuck E. Cheese was fabulous... with way more toddler rides than ours here in Tennesse. We had a great time, and as always the pizza was great!

Dunkin Donuts Factory

Derek got us into the area Dunkin Donuts factory. It was a competely private tour, and not at all what we were expecting... it was so much more. Lorelai wouldn't wear the hair net, so had to keep her hood up instead. We shamelessly stuffed our faces with the warm donuts and loaded up with two boxes to get us through the weekend! YUM!

Circle K

On Friday we visited Derek's office. If I worked there I would never leave or eat any where else. Instead of a break room he has a FREE mini-convenince store with drinks, sample snacks, etc. I had peanut-butter-hot-chocolate!
