VDay... 2012, a solid 12 pounds ago

I haven't taken a ton of pictures on my big fancy camera recently, so this one is still on my memory card.  This is from Valentine's Day this year, and since this was taken I've completely fallen off my Eat Clean Diet, which was my number one New Year's resolution this year.  And, I never did start back my morning gym routine like I promised myself I would.  II look about like I feel right now... sortof dumpy.  Anyone, have any nuggets of wisdom to motivate me again?  I just can't seem to find the dedication I had.  Maybe I need to re-read my running books, and Eat Clean magazines?  Should I post this picture on my pantry?  I probably just need to cut myself a bit of slack, it's been a long bad year and just when I think things are looking up, my front door gets kicked in and my house burglarized (that's a post for another day).

I'm telling y'all, this dog really smiles!  The lined eyes and the toothy grin, she truly is my doggleganger.  These were taken before church on Sunday morning, and I love how they came out.  Lorelai took the pictures of me and Rusty with CC... she's quite the little shutter bug!

Fashion Notes: The dress Lorelai is wearing was bought in Mexico when we went on our cruise earlier this year.  So cute!  My dress on the other hand is from sophmore/ junior year at Ole Miss.  And, I chopped seven inches off my hair on Friday!  Free at last: I've worn it long for two years in a row now and it feels great to have short hair again, at least for the summer.

Hello 3 day Weekend

We're swimming the weekend away. Lorelai cried and refused to accept my assurances that she wouldn't go under with her swimmie-floaties on. So I did what any mother would do, what my own mother did with Derek... I tossed her in and wished her luck! Within 20 minutes she was paddling the length of the pool and paling around with her best friends from the gym nursery! Swim, L, swim... It's going to be a great summer!

Sunday Edition of the Portrait Lens is baaack!  I'm not sure that the portrait lens was the best choice for today, since it's a fixed lens and I was wearing heels that I'd been in all morning so I didn't step in close enough to CC and L.  Oh well, these are precious anyway! 

CC's First Ice Cream Cone

We're going to an ice cream social for church tonight, so Lorelai wore her Strasburg ice cream dress to church this morning.  I didn't want to leave CC out of the loop and thought this would make the cutest picture.  In the interest of full disclosure the title of the post is slightly misleading... technically this is CC's second ice cream cone, the first one was gone before we ever even got out of the kitchen.  Lorelai was giggling and CC was happily lapping up the crumbs before I even noticed.
