Happy 4 Month Birthday Gomer!
My sweet little Lorelai is 4 months old today. I wish I could just freeze time right now. She's so perfect, her skin is super soft, her smiles are so big, her tiny hands grab my fingers so fiercely, and my heart has grown so much in just 4 short months that I'm certain it will burst long before we reach her 1st Birthday Party.

Good old fashioned blogging...
I haven't had time to take any pictures this week, plus my camera is out of batteries and I haven't had a free second at home to charge them. So, in light of that I thought I'd treat y'all to a good old fashioned blogging and update you on life at Chez Ballentine:
Little Lorelai can pick up her toys and hold them with both hands!
She smiles amazing gummy smiles all of the time.
She whimpers to be picked up, and is so great at communicating what she wants.
She sleeps basically through the night... sometimes she'll let you know she needs her bottle, but never opens her eyes and goes right back to sleep once she's got her bottle in her mouth.
We think she might be starting to teethe... she is very drooly, and constantly chewing on her hands.
I've almost completely given up breastfeeding... I've been trying to stop since her 3 month birthday... it's just plain hard to do and work away from home. But, quitting is hard too.
Speaking of work.. I've got a big case coming up on Thurs.
Rusty has been working insane hours due to the tornado, but he gets time and a half for overtime.
I've been trying to decorate my house in my free time.... I know that home decor is difficult for everyone.. but, our house is extra hard because the foyer, dining room, living room, kitchen, and kitchen nook are all basically one room... so everything really needs to flow.
Oh... and finally all about "Gomer"... many people have heard us call our sweet baby Gomer. That is our name for little Lorelai. When I was pregnant everyone kept telling us that they didn't like the name Lorelai... but we loved it. So one day I was so frustrated and stated that if we kept getting grief about it that we'd name her Gomer... anyway... it just stuck. LOL!

Neighbor Paul, Lorelai, and I spent the evening camped out in the bathroom.. and Rusty was working like a little hero until 8 AM this morning. He is at home sleeping for just a bit before he goes back out to work again. Our power was out all afternoon and evening, and parts of town are devestated.. but our house was untouched, and my parent's home is okay too! Thank goodness.
