The baby had to go to the NICU for 3 days... but the hospital kicked me out and discharged me after 2 days... I of course was not leaving without my baby, my angel... so they hospital cut off my nursing and house keeping and hung a sign that said "Rooming in Mom"... luckily the nursery discharged the baby the next day and the hospital had no problem with me staying that extra 24 hours... they wouldn't have liked me setting up camp in the waiting room... which was exactly my plan... there was no way I was leaving without my baby (I don't know how moms of premies do it... they are so strong).... I can't lie, I'm quite proud of my 'Rooming in' sign.

Here I am taking my sweet daughter home from the hospital... she's wearing the same outfit that I wore home from the hospital +26 years ago. And, notice her adorable little bracelet.. her daddy bought it for her first birthday.. and I cried and cried when I read her the card that he wrote... I am certain that one day it will be among her most prized possessions!

An Absolute Miracle...

Here she is little Baby Ballentine! She is brand spanking new during that first picture! She really is the most beautiful baby ever... everyone at the hospital agreed, so I know it's not a biased opinion. Then...the picture of the proud papa... honestly he cried more than she did (she did have that air bubble though so she was at an advantage LOL)! She is the most amazing blessing, and we are so lucky to have her. Thank you God.
