Michael Jackson

Look at the 1:30 to 1:40 mark and I think that is footage from the Kent State shootings that took place while my dad was a student there... Derek, is that right? The bullet hole is still in the sculpture on campus...I have a picture posted of it below (it's in the center of the peace sign).

4th Anniversary Present

Rusty and I got the Samsung HE sanitizing washer and dryer combo for our 4th Anniversary gift to each other, we've actually had these and been enjoying them for a while (we used a coupon for no-interest financing and made ourselves pay them off just in time for our anniversary). We have bought our presents together for the past four years and used http://www.findgift.com/Anniversary-Table/ as a guide to help us pick our gifts, and here is what we've accumulated so far:
1. A tree (it's actually still alive) since paper is made from trees.
2. King size mattress for cotton.
3. Leather couch and recliner.
4. Washer and dryer for the modern appliance gift.

Train Ride from Cleveland to Penninsula

This is such a neat ride, and we are planning on taking Lorelai back in December for the Cuyahoga Valley's version of the Polar Express... she's going to LOVE it!

Dinner @ Lolita

Derek is SO lucky to live near an Iron Chef's restaurant. We were all as "happy as a tornado in a trailer park" (quote courtesy of Cars, the movie, we watched in our fabulous big bus) we ordered so many appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts that a small country could have feasted off of our meal... this is obviously a favorite restaurant for Derek & Angie... but for all of us as well. We have so many happy family memories around Michael Symon's table!

Grandpa Cahill's Funeral

We said our good byes to Grandpa, and no doubt we will miss him... he was an amazing Grandpa! We love you and we'll make sure that Lorelai remembers you as her most favoritest Great Grandpa ever!
