My Guinea Pigs

I picked on my mom a good bit and made her pose around in different spots so I could see what worked. Getting the background as far away from the subject as possible seems to do the trick.

Me and Lorelai

I love this picture, and it's a good example of how to show that when we were so close to the background that it didn't blur at all.

Mom and her Camera

These might be my most favorite pictures of my mom, ever. You never see her without her camera... and now I've got my own so I can capture her in action! This is my new portrait lens from Derek, and I think it looks great. I've already learned a lot about what works and what doesn't from just reviewing my pictures from last night. I took 200 pictures last night with my new lens so get ready to be bombarded today with my "portfolio".

Happy Birthday to Me

It's my 29th birthday, today!! A big thanks to my 5 foot 3 inch mother who birthed me, an 11 pound 2 ounce bundle of joy. I am blessed to have the best parents, brother (and sister-in-law), husband, daughter, family and besties, and friends in the world. It's my last 20 something birthday... and I plan on living and enjoying this next year to the fullest... after all: "Your 20s are for enjoyment." ~ Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

Sip and See

We had a great time at Baby Benton's Sip and See, and visiting all weekend with Brynna and the Clark family!

Part of being a girl....

I had to tuck Lorelai's dress into her little diaper so she wouldn't trip on it while playing on the playground.

Cheers...

to Lorelai, the coolest kid in the world.

A good shot from my camera...

Here is a good picture of Rusty and Keith that shows how the background blurs out and only the subjects are in focus.
