Floods, etc.

Rusty is working constant emergency shifts until our community is back in the safe zone... and from the look of these pictures on http://www.jacksonsun.com/ that may be a few days. We woke up at 3:30 this morning (which was only about an hour after Rusty made it to bed) to the tornado sirens blarring, and Rusty had to be back out the door this morning to serve. He came home quickly (in a super cool city Ford F150) to change into dry clothes... his had been drenched while saving a man fighting to keep his head above flowing waters.

***I tried to update the blog with more pictures and ended up messing up the ones I already had up. Oops.

This is McClellan Road, the road that my parent's neighborhood is off of.

This is a neigborhood near my parents house.

The one with the mother and daughter is especially alarming. Why would you deliberately get into flood waters? You could fall into a sink hole, hit an undercurrent, get electrocuted or, at a minimum, pick up some disease from sewage mixed in.
