Ohio Trip

We went to Ohio this weekend to celebrate Derek's Birthday!!! I have a ton of pictures, and will up load them very soon.. but in the mean time check out Derek & Angie's blog for some of the pictures!

*** The one thing that I don't have a picture of but that is VERY note worthy is that Little Richard was on our flight! So exciting.. we sat next to one of his band mates, and we got pre-signed autographed pictures... but couldn't take pictures with Little Richard because he was wheel chair bound and didn't want to be photographed like that.

My parents were married, and my grandparents (and great-grandparents) are burried at Corinth Baptist Church...sad. But, my family and their homes are okay.

We took Lorelai to see the ducks in Memphis again, and since she was an old pro at this point she got in the pond with them and even kissed one of the duckies bye-bye as we were leaving. These pictures are fantastic!

Straw

I've been trying to show Lorelai how to drink with a straw for a while, but with no luck. Well. Last night, a milk chocolate Godiva milkshake proved to be the incentive she needed to master the straw sipping skill!

*Update: Apparently we will have to take a few more trips to the Godiva store to practice drinking with the straw... the skill didn't transfer to other non-desert-beverages quite as easily as I thought it would. She'll just have to twist my arm to make me go back to Godiva. :)
