WTHC Boys & Girls Club Gala

We had an amazing night out last night with our friends at the West Tennessee Health Care Boys and Girls Club Gala.

Santa Bonanza...

One of my sorority sisters coined the phrase Santa Bonanza on Facebook, and I love it!! Tomorrow we're going to story time with Santa. I think I'll meet my goal of the 12 Santas of 2010!! Having a toddler this time of year is AMAZING, we're both having the time of our lives!!

Here is the color I'm thinking of going with in the dining room, the stencil will be re-applied. It started as Behr Venetian Gold, but that got tweaked by the Home Depot guy to look more like this. I think it's a good blend to go with the kitchen and living room which is getting painted Behr Wild Honey.













Lorelai's room is a beautiful pink, Behr Disney's Fairest Of Them All. It's completed now, and looks fantastic!

Rusty and Paul are currently in the process of re-painting my kitchen Behr's Golden Cricket... it's a cool yellow-y green color that can be seen below (that kitchen's not mine). YAY! Pictures coming soon!!

Lorelai loved having Snack's baby, Cash, come for a visit this afternoon. It was a great way to spend a rainy Saturday!!

Chandelier

I've wanted to put a chandelier in Lorelai's room forever. Last week at the local flea market my mom and I found this jewel for only $75, and Rusty got the medallion at Lowe's for $26. And, as luck would have it our bff Uncle Keith came through town that day and helped us hang it up... what a deal, and it looks like a million bucks hanging in little L's room... she calls it her princess light, love it!

1st Dentist Visit

Lorelai did great for her first visit to the dentist yesterday!! She loved the aquarium in the office, the tv's mounted in the ceilings playing Toy Story 3 above the dental chairs, and the bag of goodies including a new Ariel toothbrush. I have never had a cavity, and take oral hygiene very seriously so this was a big day for us... we celebrated with another first for Lorelai today... her first hibachi filet, this kid's got a refined pallet and enjoys foods like edemame, sushi, and all kinds of other cool stuff (but, don't let me lead you astray... her favorite still is mac n' cheese:)

I'm dying..

Lorelai's Flip commercial is up in running! So far there have been sightings here in Jackson, TN (not by me), Alabama, and Texas. My sweet AOPi roomie (woot! woot! room 126) Angela saw it on E! And there have been two sightings on TBS! I've set my DVR to record the next few nights on TBS so hopefully I'll get to see it soon! Please let me know if/when you see it and where!

Santa at Kirkland's

My mom and I took Lorelai to the Kirkland's Christmas open house/ preview sale. Trivia fact: Kirkland's is based here in Jackson. Lorelai had a great time seeing Santa, and I wish I had my Flip out because she was spouting off her list before she ever got on his lap. In case you're wondering the list is a real pony with strings (read reins), a real Jessie doll with Bullseye, a Peter Pan doll with Wendy, Michael, and John, and princess books (she already has the exact set she is asking for, but desperately wants ((read threw a tantrum in the store)) another set, I told her she'd just have to ask Santa, and she did!).

Baby it's cold outside...

Tempatures have dropped as low as 26 degress this weekend... we bundled up today and went to Union University for a day out with train rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, and balloon animals!

Free Buffet Table

One of my besties rescued this buffet table from someone's garbage, and then realized it wouldn't go right in her house so she gave it to me!! Woohoo! We stripped it down (sort-of, we left some of random wood pieces so that it would look distressed) and then painted it lime green. My vision for my kitchen is to actually be the same lime green color as the buffet table so if I ever get around to having my house painted I'll have to re-paint the buffet, maybe a sunflower yellow? Anyway, without further ado here are the before and after pics...
